and somehow we’ve made it back here

after a long hiatus

and slowly,

so slowly,

I unfurl out.

Stretching my limbs closer to meet yours.

It’s delicious. The closeness.

Your sweet skin

after months

of isolated growth.

  • Peel is vibrant and honest exploration of love, loss and identity formation in your twenties. Georgie's words offer a peaceful solace to those seeking connection with tender hearts and fruitful appetites.

  • Georgie Silk is a Pākehā poet, theatre maker and mental health counsellor based in Tāmaki Makaurau. After graduating high school, she trained as an actor. Her creative pursuits have led her to create theatre productions at Q Theatre, Basement Theatre and BATS Theatre.
